Waukesha County in Strong Financial Position with Triple-A Bond Ratings
For the 25th consecutive year Waukesha County receives the highest possible rating from Investor Services.

Waukesha County has been awarded triple-A bond ratings, which may help lower borrowing costs and taxes in the county.Β
This is the highest rating possible given by Investors Service and Fitch Rating.Β
In their bond rating report, Fitch Ratings highlighted Waukesha Countyβs strong fiscal management and diverse tax base, according to a release.

βPrudent fiscal policies and budgetary conservatism have resulted in positive financial results,β Fitch Ratings highlighted in their report.
Moodyβs Investors Service said in their report that Waukesha County is in a strong financial position due to conservative budgeting practices.Β The report said, βwe expect the Countyβs financial position to remain strong due to a history of conservative budgeting.βΒ Β

βWaukesha County has a great team that manages County finances with efficiency and skill,β said County Executive Dan Vrakas in a release.Β βUltimately, this triple-A bond rating allows Waukesha County to save taxpayersβ money by allowing the County to pay lower interest rates on loans to fund highway and other capital projects.Β Additionally, it sets a high standard for all our employees as they work hard to serve Waukesha County residents.β
This year marks the 25thΒ consecutive year that Moodyβs has awarded, and the 16th consecutive year that Fitch has awarded, Waukesha County this rating.Β Waukesha County is in the top 4 percent of counties nationwide to achieve the coveted triple-A status.
