16-Year-Old Crashes Into Uber Driver, Passenger Killed: Report
Police in Milwaukee say an Uber driver transporting a 22-year-old woman was hit by a 16-year-old driver who was speeding after curfew.
MILWAUKEE, WI -- Police in Milwaukee say a man driving without a valid license struck an Uber driver, killing a woman that the driver had been hired to transport.
Jesus Cardenas-Torres, 16, of Milwaukee has been charged as an adult with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license - causing death.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, Milwaukee police officers were on patrol near the 2100 block of W. Orchard Street in Milwaukee just after 1:30 a.m. on March 22 when they saw a white Subaru SUV driven by Cardenas-Torres speeding.

Reports stated that officers tried catching up with Cardenas-Torres, however were unable to do so. Reports stated that the vehicle he was driving ignored a stop sign at the intersection of 20th and Orchard Streets, only to T-bone a Pontiac that had entered the intersection, pushing it into a nearby yard.
Police said the driver of the Pontiac was an Uber driver. He suffered a ruptured spleen, kidney damage, and head and leg lacerations.

According to police, the person the Uber driver was transporting died in the crash. The woman has been identified as 22-year-old Marlyn Hernandez of Milwaukee.
Milwaukee police said she was thrown from the Pontiac as a result of the crash and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner said the girl's cause of death was blunt force traumatic injuries that were suffered in the accident.
According to the criminal complaint, Cardenas-Torres was driving without a valid driver's license. His license had been suspended, reports stated.
Court charging documents state that Cardenas-Torres faces up to four-and-a-half years behind bars if he is convicted.
