18-Year-Old Woman Shot and Killed; Suspect Sought in Jan. 2 Milwaukee Homicide

Police are asking for the public's help - albeit cautiously - as they are looking for a suspect in a Jan. 2 homicide in Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE — Police are asking for the public's help - albeit cautiously - as they are looking for a suspect in a Jan. 2 homicide in Milwaukee.

That suspect, 18-year-old Hakeem R. Tucker, was released from custody less than a month ago after a conviction for armed robbery, according to a Journal Sentinel report.

Milwaukee Police are investigating non-fatal shooting and homicide that happened around 2:20 a.m. on January 3 in the 2300 block of N. 41st. Street. A 54-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were shot inside a residence by a suspect, whom police believe to be Hakeem Tucker. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.

According to police, the woman, identified as Stephanie Jones by the Journal Sentinel, died on scene despite lifesaving efforts.

The man, who has yet to be identified, was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for a serious gunshot wound. Milwaukee Police are currently seeking the actor, Tucker, who fled the scene on foot after the shooting.

Police urge residents that if they see Tucker, they are asked to call 911 and those with information only can call the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7360.
