2017 Milwaukee Sex Offender Halloween Safety Map

MILWAUKEE, WI -- Before children go out trick-or-treating on Halloween, fall is a good time to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

The City of Milwaukee has 1,933 registered sex offenders listed on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, and many are listed as being on active supervision.

According to state law, if a registered sex offender is on active supervision, they are banned from Halloween activities involving children. Registered sex offenders having "Terminated" status are not on state supervision and are not subject to this restriction.

If you believe a registered sex offender, who is under Active Community Supervision according to the State Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry, is participating in Halloween activities you can report the information to the SAFE tip phone hotline at 1-877-234-0085 which is answered Monday through Friday between 7:45 AM and 4:30 PM.

You may want to avoid trick or treating at these houses and apartments on Halloween, or merely be aware of who’s living in your neighborhood.
