27-Year-Old Who Died In Wrong-Way Crash Identified
Police identified the person who died in a Dec. 3 crash. Police said a wrong-way driver on 27th street collided with another vehicle.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Police say a fatal crash on S. 27th Street on Sunday morning by a wrong-way driver resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle that was struck.
According to Milwaukee police, a 21-year-old wrong-way driver was driving a 2005 Acura TL north at a high rate of speed at about 6 a.m. Sunday when he hit a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 37-year-old man. A passenger in the Elantra died at the scene, police said.
On Monday, Milwaukee police identified the deceased as Rafael Rojas-Prado of Milwaukee. Police said the wrong-way driver was taken into custody and will not be identified until formal charges are filed with the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.

Police say both drivers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident took place at the intersection of S. 27th St. and W. Cleveland Ave.
