43-Year-Old Milwaukee Woman Dies in Head-On Crash

Police say the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup was traveling south on N. 27th Street when he crashed into a minivan carrying three people.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 43-year-old Milwaukee woman has died after a crash on Milwaukee's north side Wednesday.

Police say the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup was traveling south on N. 27th Street when he crossed the centerline and struck a Chrysler Town and Country minivan that was driving north on the same road.

Police said that the driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police are also reporting that excessive speed of the Dodge Ram was also a factor in the crash.

Police reported that the three people inside the Chrysler were taken to the hospital. While at the hospital, the driver of the Chrysler minivan, a 43-year old woman from Milwaukee, died. The other people inside the minivan remain hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

The identity of the woman who died has not been released to the public, pending notification of the family. Patch.com will update this story as more information comes available.
