6th Annual HKE MKE Event

Hikers to participate at all three Urban Ecology Center branches – in person or through virtual hikes

Join us the week of Sunday, September 27th for the Urban Ecology Center’s 6th annual HKE MKE presented by Rotary Club of Milwaukee! Enjoy a family-friendly hike through any of the three beautiful Milwaukee parks we operate in or create your own self-guided hike while raising funds to support the Center's mission of connecting people to nature. Participants will have the option to complete hikes on their own or led by a UEC team member as part of a small, socially distanced group. All routes are 2-3 miles and family-friendly; all ability levels are encouraged to participate. All hikers are asked to wear masks and can reserve a time slot for self-led and guided hikes by registering online to accommodate social distancing.

Hikes are available at all three of our parks:- Riverside Park: 1500 E. Park Pl - Washington Park: 1859 N. 40th St.- Menomonee Valley: 3700 W Pierce StHKE MKE registration is now open. Registration for guided hikes is $25; there is no registration fee for self-led hikes, but sign-up is still required. Participants will be able to set up their fundraising pages immediately upon registration in order to begin sharing and raising money in support of the UEC.
