9 Arrested for OWI Over Weekend in Milwaukee County

1920 Repeat Offenders Since January 2010.

From Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office: Sheriff Richard R. Schmidt ordered an aggressive Operating While Intoxicated (OWI- drugs and/or alcohol) initiative to rid the Milwaukee County freeway system of intoxicated drivers. This past weekend’s Operation Drive Sober initiative from Friday at 4:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Monday, resulted in the arrest of nine drunken drivers. The average PBT test results were .13.

One repeat-offender was arrested for OWI-2nd : Christopher Mattin, age 34, of Milwaukee. Eight drivers were taken into custody for OWI-1st offense: Andrew Zelm, age 38, of Oconomowoc; Shawn Hansen, age 43, of Waukesha; and Milwaukee residents: Xavier Blanco, age 18; Peter Knapp, age 36; Marcus Kimbrough, age 32; Brian Badzinski, age 39; Matthew Fitzgerald, age 35; and Joey Ortiz, age 28.
