The Festival Takes Place in Historic Third Ward, Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI - The 8th Annual Third Ward Art Festival will be held on three blocks in the Historic Third Ward District, from St. Paul to Menomonee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Street and nearby garage parking is available.

Free and open to the public, this popular festival will showcase the work of more than 140 juried artists in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. In addition to the incredible artwork available for purchase, attendees will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats. Children’s activities include color creations, art fest bingo and spin art.

“We’re so pleased to be a part of the thriving art scene in Milwaukee,” said festival producer Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions. “We love to spend time in our sister city, and to explore the wealth of beauty and talent that Milwaukee offers.”

At this year’s Art Festival, non-profit Bright Pink will benefit from a portion of artists sales as part of Amdur Production’s Green Ribbon Project. Each artist has the option to place a bright green ribbon on one or more pieces of art for sale in their booth. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of that artwork goes to supporting the mission of Bright Pink: to save lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering women to know their risk and manage their health proactively.
