MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin moms should get a mostly sunny Mother's Day after a warmer and breezier Saturday that could bring a few showers.
The National Weather Service says Milwaukee will see mostly sunny skies Sunday, with a high near 60 degrees. Northwest winds are expected at 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 40 degrees.
The holiday forecast looks quieter than Saturday, when Milwaukee is expected to reach a high near 71 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday, with southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph, according to the weather service.
The weather service said southern Wisconsin could see another chance for showers and isolated weak storms Saturday as a front moves through. More mild temperatures are expected to return for the start of next week.
The next better chance for rain arrives early next week. Milwaukee has a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m. Monday night, followed by likely showers Tuesday.
