MILWAUKEE, WI — Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is the only hospital in Wisconsin to earn a Top 50 national ranking for cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, according to U.S. News & World Report's newly released Best Hospitals 2026-2027 rankings.
The hospital came in at No. 38 nationally in the specialty.
"This honor reflects the excellence of our cardiovascular program, which combines nationally recognized specialists, cutting-edge research and 24/7 expertise to treat even the most complex heart conditions," said Dr. Suhail Allaqaband, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and program director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Aurora St. Luke's, in a statement.
Allaqaband noted the hospital trains more than 30 cardiology fellows each year.

Aurora St. Luke's was also named the No. 1 hospital in the Milwaukee metro area for the fourth consecutive year and No. 2 in Wisconsin overall.
Those rankings include care provided at Aurora St. Luke's South Shore and Aurora Sinai Medical Center, which ranked No. 29 nationally for obstetrics and gynecology.
