Search warrant: MPD duty weapon stolen, offered for sale months later (wisn.com) — A Milwaukee Police Department officer's duty weapon was stolen from their car outside a bar near First and Maple streets in Milwaukee and later offered for sale, according to a search warrant. The gun remains missing, no suspect has been charged, and MPD has not said whether the officer was disciplined, despite prior warnings about guns stolen from vehicles in the city.
   

2. Thousands without power in Southeast Wisconsin following Tuesday night's storms (tmj4.com) — A powerful storm knocked out power to more than 20,000 people in Milwaukee County, downing trees and damaging businesses like Wy'East Pizza in Washington Heights. Crews from DPW and We Energies worked overnight to clear debris and restore electricity, especially on Milwaukee's south side.
   

3. CBS 58's Hometown Athlete: Marquette High School grad Tommy Novotny plays for more than himself (cbs58.com) — In Milwaukee, Marquette High School graduate and running back Tommy Novotny is preparing to play football at UW-Whitewater while reflecting on the brother who inspires him and the caregiving role he's taken on. 4. Power surge fuels record-tying night for Brewers in 22-0 rout of Mariners (wbal.com) — Brewers fans in Milwaukee just watched history as the team crushed the Seattle Mariners 22-0 at home, tying the modern MLB record for largest shutout win. Christian Yelich, Jake Bauers, and rookie Luis Lara powered a rare home-run barrage in front of more than 36,000 fans.
   

5. David Crowley SUED the Milwaukee Police Department, Accusing Officers of Racism, and Costing the City at Least $1.9 Million (wisconsinrightnow.com) — Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley's role in an ACLU-backed lawsuit against the Milwaukee Police Department led to the Collins Agreement, which officers say sharply reduced proactive policing. Since the settlement, documented stops and field interviews in Milwaukee have plunged while reckless driving and violence are described as surging, and Chief Jeffrey Norman now publicly urges major changes to the agreement's requirements.
