Brewers Set World Series Roster: Here's Who Made The Cut

Milwaukee locked in its 26-man roster ahead of tonight's Game 1 against the Rays, and the pitching staff is deep.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Milwaukee Brewers have settled on the 26 players they will rely on as they chase the first World Series title in franchise history.

The Brewers released their World Series roster ahead of Friday night's Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Rays at American Family Field. Milwaukee is carrying 13 pitchers, six infielders, five outfielders and two catchers.

The pitching staff is led by ace Jacob Misiorowski, who will start Game 1 against Rays right-hander Nick Martinez. Logan Henderson, who started Game 2 of both the NL Division Series and the NLCS behind Misiorowski, is also on the roster, along with veteran Brandon Woodruff.

The lineup features Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich, William Contreras and Brice Turang, as well as rookie Luis Lara, whose fifth-inning single drove in the go-ahead run in the Brewers' 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS.

Here's the full Brewers World Series roster, with jersey numbers:

Pitchers: Aaron Ashby (26), Shane Drohan (55), Robert Gasser (54), DL Hall (37), Kyle Harrison (52), Logan Henderson (43), Dustin May (21), Trevor Megill (29), Jacob Misiorowski (32), JoJo Romero (33), Antonio Senzatela (49), Abner Uribe (45), Brandon Woodruff (53)

Catchers: William Contreras (24), Gary Sánchez (99)

Infielders: Jake Bauers (9), David Hamilton (6), Joey Ortiz (3), Cooper Pratt (12), Brice Turang (2), Andrew Vaughn (28)

Outfielders: Jackson Chourio (11), Sal Frelick (10), Luis Lara (18), Garrett Mitchell (5), Christian Yelich (22)

The Brewers are in the World Series for the first time since 1982 after posting baseball's best record at 103-59 and sweeping the Dodgers in the NLCS. Neither Milwaukee nor Tampa Bay has won a World Series, so the series will crown a first-time champion.

Game 1 begins at 7 p.m. Central on Fox. Game 2 is Saturday in Milwaukee before the series shifts to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, for Games 3 through 5.
