Brewers Try To Prevent 'Wrigley Field North' Status This Year

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Milwaukee Brewers are reportedly tired of hearing the chant "Go Cubs Go" whenever Chicago Cubs fans travel north to watch their beloved team take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

It's become such a common occurrence that Miller Park is often called "Wrigley Field North" during Brewers-Cubs games.

With that in mind, the Milwaukee Brewers created a ticket deal - the first of its kind in Major League Baseball - to get more Brewer fans into Miller park whenever these two teams play in the Brew City.

According to the Brewers, beginning Friday, Feb. 9 at 9 a.m, and continuing through Feb. 15 at 11:59 p.m., residents of Wisconsin can go to Brewers.com/wisconsinpresale to buy up to eight tickets to any of the 10 home games against the Chicago Cubs.

Interested fans must have a valid Wisconsin address when purchasing tickets.

According to a press release issued by the team, "The Crew wants Miller Park to be filled with loud and proud Wisconsin fans when they cheer on the boys of summer against their division foe this year."

Although Having a Wisconsin driver's license doesn't automatically make you a fan of the Brewers (we're looking at YOU, Kenosha), the team is hoping to simply make it easier for the team's hometown fans to get seats during this I-94 rivalry matchup.

The Cubs travel to Milwaukee on the following dates to play the Brewers in 2018:

• April 5-8
• June 11-13
• September 3-5
