Businesses - Beware of shady business owner
Local entrepreneur celebrated for stopping at nothing to reach his dreams. Besides hurting other small businesses.
This article is in response to a recent article posted March 1, 2017 by Milwaukee Magazine about Nate Harris, Owner of Ugly's., ex-owner of the now bankrupt Novo.
Nate Harris hires local Milwaukee businesses, doesn't pay them and gets recognition for being successful. He is quoted as saying "...has taught me that the value of your life is not measured by what you can do for yourself, but by what you can do for others I will always stay true to those values and do the best I can to help others in achieving their potential." ... Like not pay your bills to the tune of $80k and puingt other Mke businesses in a hardship so you can play bigshot with your fancy car and running around like you are a good person? Multiple other Milwaukee contractors have reached out that they did work for him and after months of promises were never paid.
I guess I can say thank you for personally affecting my family and my children by showing your true values, not in your words but in your actions.

"Within less than six months, I was able to double the business’s sales, and by the end of the year sales were up by over 300 percent." This was said about Ugly's. Really??? the same Ugly's that still has yet to pay us on a $800 invoice from August of 2015??? due to... oh wait let me grab the info from that e-mail.... "10 day suspension in Dec due to our corrupt alderman" (maybe karma??) And you still don't have even a partial payment?
I'm sorry back to the failed business of Novo.

"Every day in my life is like being on the last lap of the Indy 500." For example, being in debt to vendors all over the city based on your promise to pay so your dream could become a reality while also struggling to pay the loans we took out to finish your project? In the meantime people won't work with us so we can continue to grow because of you moving out of state and not honoring your promise or your word?
How about you and your business partner e-mailing me "Nate and I acknowledge this as a Novo debt and have full plans to pay it in full" and now the LLC has been dissolved and you have been kicked out of the property?
There is not much we can do, but just be careful. Before the posts were deleted by Milwaukee Magazine, there were shares and comments about all the people and local businesses that have been left in this business "leaders" wake of destroying others dreams in order to reach his own.
