Carr Fire Victims To Get 50,000 Cans Of Water From MillerCoors
Milwaukee's MillerCoors is sending 50,000 cans of clean drinking water to Carr Fire victims in Northern California.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee may still be known informally as "Brewtown" or the "Brew City," however this week, Milwaukee brewer MillerCoors is donating 50,000 cans of water to residents and firefighters impacted by the Carr Fire in Northern California.
MillerCoors said they're partnering with the American Red Cross and Redding Distributing Company to make it happen. Water cans that would normally contain a sudsy cold brew will instead be used to deliver clean drinking water at the Red Cross shelters and distributed by volunteers. The wildfires are currently 39 percent contained and have damaged thousands of structures and homes.

“During a time of crisis, access to water is essential. Through the company’s donation, we hope to provide comfort to communities affected by the wildfires,” said Karina Diehl, MillerCoors Senior Director for National Community Affairs.

The water cans will be shipped from the MillerCoors brewery in Shenandoah, Va., and are expected to arrive Monday at RDC’s warehouse in Redding. In total, MillerCoors will donate 50,000 cans, coming on 20 pallets. Each case is a 12 pack filled with 12 ounces of water in each can.
