College Gameday: Wisconsin vs. Purdue

Wisconsin’s quest to win the Big Ten’s West division continues with a trip to West Lafayette, Indiana. If the Badgers prevail in their next two games, they will clinch the West division title and play in the Big Ten title game in Indianapolis.

No game is a lock as Iowa beating Michigan proved, but Wisconsin is expected to roll past Purdue. Week after week Wisconsin’s defense stifles its opponents, with last week’s 48-3 victory over Illinois no exception.

The Badgers held Illinois to 200 yards of offense and forced Illini quarterback Jeff George Jr. to throw four interceptions. Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook wasn’t impressive in the win but his running game was as Corey Clement carried the ball 25 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns while teammate Dare Ogunbowale added 103 yards on seven carries.

Purdue has lost five in a row including a 45-17 pounding at the hands of Northwestern on Saturday. Quarterback David Blough completed 21 of 36 passes for 184 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions in the loss.
