Dead Baby Found In Trash Bag Near Milwaukee Funeral Home: Police

The baby appears to have only been born a short time ago and was discovered by an employee of the funeral home on North Teutonia Avenue.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police are searching for the parents of an infant who was found dead in a trash bag near a funeral home Friday morning.

Police said that an employee of the funeral home on North Teutonia Avenue found the baby at around 9:50 a.m. on Friday and found the trash bag containing the newborn a short distance from the funeral home. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office was called to the location and police said that it appears that the baby had only been born a short time.

Police said there is no connection between the baby and the funeral home and that the investigation into the incident is just beginning. The cause of death of the infant has not been determined, police said Friday.
