Need a New Year's resolution? Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Blood Drive - Donate blood at the I Have a Dream Blood Drive Saturday, January 13 at Northside YMCA. Contact BloodCenter of Wisconsin at Todd.Coleman@bcw.edu or 414-937-6249.
- BBBS Information Session - Attend a Big Brothers Big Sisters Information Session Wednesday evening, January 17 and learn all about becoming a mentor to a youth in our community. Learn more and register.
- Children’s Vision Screener - Be a vision screener for young children weekday mornings; January 18 training provided. Contact Prevent Blindness Wisconsin at sarah@pbwi.org or 414-765-0505.
- Warming Center - On-call volunteers needed at St. Ben’s Community Meal Warming Center for homeless when temperature outside is 10 degrees or colder; early morning or evening shifts. Contact Capuchin Community Services at 414-271-0135 x 2214 or sjenkins@thecapuchins.org.
- snow! Snow! SNOW! - Shovel snow for older adults in your neighborhood. Contact Interfaith Neighborhood Outreach Program at msteinke@interfaithmilw.org or 414-220-8648.
- Meal Program - Prepare and serve evening meal, clean-up afterwards and interact with St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee’s guests; north and south side locations. Contact pwest@svdpmilw.org or 414-915-3353.
- Winter Donation - Donate gloves, hats and scarves for individuals who are homeless at Guest House of Milwaukee. Contact emilyfirlinger@guesthouseofmilwaukee.org or 414-316-2012.
