Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.
Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Milwaukee's Best Bloody - Register guests, keep bars supplied, assist in VIP room and sell raffle tickets at Milwaukee's Best Bloody Sunday, February 25. Contact Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation at glhfintern@glhf.org or 414-257-0200.
- ABCs & Me Tutor - Assist K4 and K5 students learn the alphabet by tracing and learning the sounds of letters weekdays at Milwaukee Academy Of Science. Contact volunteercoordinator@MAScience.orgor 414-933-0302.
- Ambassadors - Welcome and assist patients and visitors at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore, St. Luke’s and West Allis Medical Centers; day, evening or weekend hours. Complete an online application.
- Preschool Classroom - Assist teachers and therapists in classroom activities with children at Vision Foward Mondays-Thursdays; must have experience with children with disabilities. Contact klynch@vision-forward.org or 414-615-0161.
- Mobility Store Driver - Drive agency vehicles and deliver durable medical equipment Thursdays to stores in Madison and Wauwatosa and/or pickups from individuals and organizations. Contact IndependenceFirst at afeeley@independencefirst.org or 414-226-8334.
- Feed our Families for a Night of Fun - Groups are needed to provide and serve a meal for 120-140 people for Recovery Night at Meta House Thursday, February 15. Contact ljacobson@metahouse.org or 414-977-5823.
