Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Come Play With Me - Read to and play with pre-school children (infants-3 year olds), go for walks and prepare and help with meals weekdays at St. Joseph Academy. Contact sbrendan@cdcsj.org or 414-645-5337 ext. 262.
  • Office Assistant - Greet visitors and handle general office tasks such as filing, scanning and more weekday mornings now until mid-April for Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers. Contact kate.jaeger@sschc.org or 414-897-5184.
  • Styling in the Beauty Shop - Transport elderly residents in their wheelchairs to campus beauty salon appointments Thursday mornings at Luther Manor. Contact volunteer@luthermanor.org or 414-831-8964.
  • Goodwill Sale Donation Collection - Accept clothing donations and distribute discount coupons at an area Boston Store, March 14-24 for Goodwill Industries of Southeastern WI & Metro Chicago. Sign up here.
  • Rummage Sale Helpers - Monitor items on display, assist at tables and prepare and sell hot dogs at rummage sale Sat., March 10; set up March 9. Contact Bay View Community Center at lnieft@bayviewcenter.org or 414 482-1000.
  • Delivery Day - Unload and sort food and restock shelves at Zion Rock food pantry Tues., March 20 and each month. Contact Friedens Community Ministries at volunteer@friedenspantry.org or 414-289-6030.
