Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.
Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Habitat ReStore - Collect and organize household donations, be a cashier or help in office at Milwaukee Habitat For Humanity Restore weekdays, evenings or weekends. Contact nciaccio@milwaukeehabitat.org or 414-316-5619.
- Grant writer needed for Milwaukee Artist Resource Network; must have at least 2 years’ experience and be open to flexible schedule. Contact michele@artsinmilwaukee.org or 414-604-6276.
- Mix@Six Social - Learn about being a mentor to a child at Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Mix@Six Social Thurs., March 22, 6-8pm at El Fuego. Contact Dan Stevenson at dstevenson@bbbsmilwaukee.org or 414-831-4585.
- AWE Truck Studio - Assist with teaching art to kids at Milwaukee Public Libraries as part of Artists Working in Education Truck Studio Program; weekdays or weekends. Contact tatiana@awe-inc.org or 414-933-3877.
- Clerical - Do some Internet research and record it for Generations Against Bullying; must know Word and Excel. Contact gymmy101750@gmail.com or 920-410-3039.
- Your Hair is your best Accessory! Help others feel beautified! - Gather residents for their hair appointments, enjoy some conversation with them and assist the hairdresser Tuesdays from 8am-2pm. Contact St. Camillus at lbartelt@stcam.com or 414-259-4610.
