Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Answer the crisis line and provide information/intervention to victims of sexual trauma weekends or overnight. Register for summer training by June 7. Contact Aurora Healing and Advocacy Services at HealingVolunteer@aurora.org or (414) 219-5228.
  • Help with academic and outdoor recreational activities for youth ages 6-17 weekday afternoons June 18-Aug. 16. Contact CommonBond Communities at sara.gilbert@commonbond.org or (414) 375-1402.
  • Help newly arrived refugees with the basics of living in the U.S. such as housing, health care, personal finances, employment, education and/or cultural adjustment. Contact Catholic Charities at jbrandt@ccmke.org or (414) 769-3414.
  • Organize the library at Luther Manor’s assisted living facility by shelving of return books and sorting through donated books on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Contact volunteer@luthermanor.org or (414) 831-8964,
  • Help children, teens and young adults with disabilities participate in summer camp activities weekdays starting June 18 at three locations. Contact Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin at emmap@eastersealswise.com or (414) 963-5902.
  • Register participants, hand out packets, monitor route and hand out water at Capuchins' Run-Walk for the Hungry on June 15. Register here or contact ccsvol@thecapuchins.org or (414) 933-1300.
