Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Help refugee children with homework, play games, read books, do ESL projects and go on field trips this summer; Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Contact SEA Literacy at volunteer@sealmke.org or 414-439-3468.
  • Welcome blood donors, serve refreshments and keep the café stocked weekdays, evenings or Saturdays; various locations. Contact BloodCenter of Wisconsin at Maria.Radomski@bcw.edu or 414-937-6364.
  • File, create information packets, make copies, assemble mailings, answer phones and help with projects for Aseracare Hospice in New Berlin. Contact melanie.burns@aseracare.com or 262-785-1356.
  • Provide care to young children weekdays at FRIENDS, Inc., an agency providing domestic and sexual violence programs in West Bend. Contact TLPAdvocate@friendswi.org or 262-334-5598.
  • Hand out lunches, do face painting, supervise inflatable games and help with grounds crew at Kicknic, a festival for Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club Saturday, June 9; 8am-1pm or 1-6pm. Contact

  • Make sandwiches any weekday morning to feed hungry children at The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County’s Distribution Center June 15-August 23. Sign up online.
