Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Weed, plant and remove invasive species along Lake Michigan weekdays and Saturdays. Contact Schlitz Audubon Nature Center at mhonel@schlitzaudubon.org or (414) 352-2880 ext. 144.
  • Serve meals to children in Milwaukee County Parks during lunch and dinner times weekdays now through Aug. 31. Contact Milwaukee Center for Independence at manadra.rainey@mcfi.netor or (414) 937-2020.
  • Organize a school supply drive for pre-school to high school age children served by Heartlove Place; ideal for groups. Supplies needed by July 25. Contact info@heartloveplace.org or (414) 372-1550.
  • Answer phones, update donor spreadsheet, send out thank you letters and other clerical tasks weekdays for USO Wisconsin. Contact joshsova@usowisconsin.org or (414) 763-2214.
  • Unload and sort food the third Tuesday each month or restock and help families choose food Saturdays at Zion Rock food pantry. Contact Friedens Community Ministries at volunteer@friedenspantry.org or (414) 289-6030.
  • Collect school supplies for youth served by Neu-Life Community Development; ideal for groups. Supplies needed by July 25. Contact tracy@neu-life.org or (312) 371-7612.
