Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Bring environmental education to Irish Fest attendees; help with set-up, arts & crafts or games Aug. 17-19 for Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful. Contact betsy@kgmb.org.
  • Answer phones, check in visitors and assist homeless adults experiencing mental illness and addictions and children weekdays at The Cathedral Center’s shelter. Contact atreptow@cathedral-center.org or (414) 831-0394.
  • Serve meals to children in Milwaukee County Parks during lunch and dinner times weekdays now through Aug. 31. Contact Milwaukee Center for Independence at manadra.rainey@mcfi.net or 414-937-2020.
  • Visit, play games or take stroll around the nursing home/assisted-living facility with hospice patients in southern Milwaukee County. Contact Heartland Hospice at emilee.high@hcr-manorcare.com or (414) 944-2000.
  • Collect and donate school supplies and backpacks for needy families in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. Need by Aug. 10. Contact HOPE Network for Single Mothers at admin@hopenetworkinc.org or (262) 251-7333.
  • Greet clients and guests, answer phones and do computer work weekdays for Waukesha office of Curative Care. Contact lmorowski@curative.org or (414) 479-9297.
