Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Provide companionship during hospice visits to fellow U.S. Military veterans as part of AseraCare Hospice’s Veterans Visiting Veterans program in Milwaukee and surrounding counties. Contact melanie.burns@aseracare.com or (262)-785-1356.
- Transport elderly residents in their wheelchairs to campus therapy and health service clinic appointments Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings at Luther Manor. Contact volunteer@luthermanor.org or (414)-831-8964.
- Welcome and register guests, sell raffle tickets, serve beverages and assist with auction and fashion show at fundraiser for CommonGround Ministry on Aug. 22. Contact cgministry@mac.com or (414)-453-3890.
- Remove trash, rake and remove old debris at therapy garden for Catholic Charities’ Behavioral Health program; 5-15 volunteers needed. Contact jbrandt@ccmke.org or (414)-769-3414.
- Donate school supplies for adults working for High School Equivalency Diploma or G.E.D. At Adult Learning Center. Need by Aug. 22. Contact herb@alcmke.org or (414)-263-5874.
- Assist at start and finish line, check gear, monitor course and more at Milwaukee Brewers Mini-Marathon on Sept. 22; hand out packets Sept. 20-21. Register online or contact race@brewers.com.
