Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Greet and register walkers, monitor course or hand out t-shirts and water at Joe's Run, Walk & Roll Sat., Sept. 22 at Hart Park. Contact Broadscope Disability Services at eking@broadscope.org or 414-755-8028.
  • Provide support and resources for callers dealing with domestic abuse and sexual violence by staffing 24 hour hotline and attend to needs shelter residents; training starts Sept. 21. Contact The Women's Center in Waukesha at rebekahm@twcwaukesha.org or 262-547-4600.
  • Assist in PE/Gym and Health class with middle school students at Milwaukee Academy Of Science; flexible weekday hours. Contact volunteercoordinator@MAScience.org or 414-933-0302.
  • Harvest food from Walnut Way Conservation Corp garden such as washing, weighing, prepping, and storing crops; Saturday mornings, September-October 27. Contact erica@walnutway.org or 414-264-2326.
  • Greet and register participants, hand out water, monitor route and more at Milwaukee County’s Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, Sept. 16. Contact alporth@gmail.com or 414-520-8079.
  • Set up, serve food and beverages and help with children’s activities as Victory Garden Initiative celebrates a successful harvest Saturday, Sept. 15. Contact eric@victorygardeninitiative.org or 414-431-0888.
