Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Mentor youth in 4-H Tech Wizard clubs with a focus on higher education and careers in technology, math, and science at Nativity Jesuit Middle School Thursdays after school for one year. Contact Milw. Co.-UW Extension at chunou.xiong@ces.uwex.edu or 414-256-4625.
  • Tutor adults in reading, writing, math and GED preparation weekdays at Dominican Center; training provided. Contact barbara@dominican-center.org or 414-444-9930.
  • Welcome blood donors, provide information, answer questions, make reminder calls and appointments and clean reception area; weekdays and weekends. Apply to American Red Cross here.
  • Help refugee children grades 1-12 with homework as they learn to be more fluent in English. Tuesday evenings and/or Saturday mornings. Contact volunteer@sealmke.org or 414-439-3468.
  • Compost food waste, water crops, pull weeds, harvest produce and mulch at Victory Garden Initiative urban farm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Contact eric@victorygardeninitiative.org or 414-727-2292.
  • Monitor field sidelines, sell food and merchandise or assist with parking at soccer tournaments, Oct. 5-7, Oct. 12-14 and Nov. 1-3. Contact Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club at angieo@mksc.org or 414-358-2678.
