Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Welcome and assist patients and visitors at Aurora Health Care locations in Cudahy, West Allis, St. Francis and Good Hope Rd. Clinic; days, evenings or weekends. Complete an online application or contact michelle.tisljar@aurora.org or 262-329-4615.
  • Graphic designers are needed to donate their time to designing promotional materials for Friends of MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) outreach, education, and events. Contact cdavisfom@gmail.com.
  • Mentor youth in 4-H Tech Wizard clubs with a focus on higher education and careers in technology, math, and science at Highland Community School Thursdays after school for one year. Contact Milw. Co.-UW Extension at chunou.xiong@ces.uwex.edu or 414-256-4625.
  • Prepare basic tax returns for low income residents or do related clerical duties weekdays, evenings or weekends Jan.-April; training in November. Contact Social Development Commission at drobinson@cr-sdc.org or 414-906-2804.
  • Help students ages 6-13 with homework and reading along with giving them a little confidence. Monday-Thursday after school. Contact Milwaukee Christian Center at bstewart@mccwi.org or 414-645-5350.
  • Escort elderly residents in wheelchairs to in-house therapy, beauty shop or chapel weekdays and Sundays at VMP Manor Park. Contact bonnie.zabkowicz@vmp.org or 414-607-4276.
