Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukeefeatures both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

• Guide student groups and assist them with Veterans Day activities at the War Memorial Center the mornings of November 8 and 9. Contact education@warmemorialcenter.org or 414-273-5533.

• Pull buckthorn and other invasive weeds at Estabrook Park Saturday, November 11; individuals and groups welcome. Learn more about the Park People of Milwaukee County.
• Greet guests, sell food, monitor exhibits or assist at the walk November 16-18 at the Holiday Folk Fair run by International Institute of Wisconsin. Sign up here or contact jv@iiwisconsin.org or 414-225-6220.
