Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukeefeatures both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Guide student groups and assist them with Veterans Day activities at the War Memorial Center the mornings of November 8 and 9. Contact education@warmemorialcenter.org or 414-273-5533.
- Donate food baskets for a holiday meal or help with giving out the food boxes to families; ideal project for churches, schools, businesses and families. See list here. Contact Capuchin Community Services at 414-933-1300 ext. 1113 or CapHolidayDrives@thecapuchins.org.
- Pull buckthorn and other invasive weeds at Estabrook Park Saturday, November 11; individuals and groups welcome. Learn more about the Park People of Milwaukee County.
- Greet guests, sell food, monitor exhibits or assist at the walk November 16-18 at the Holiday Folk Fair run by International Institute of Wisconsin. Sign up here or contact jv@iiwisconsin.org or 414-225-6220.
- Hand out water, snacks and packets and guide walkers/runners at Miller Park Thursday morning, November 22, an event benefiting Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Register here to volunteer. Contact kcafcules@feedingamericawi.org or 414-831-6333.
