Do good. Feel great. Volunteer!

Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

  • Encourage giving with The Salvation Army Milwaukee County donation kettles November-December 24th - two hour shifts at various locations. Register here or contact 414-302-4300.
  • Help Milwaukee residents file taxes, Feb 1-April 18; free certification in tax preparation starts in December. Contact Riverworks Development Corporation at DavidL@RiverworksMKE.org or 414-906-9650.
  • Teach small business owners how to use QuickBooks accounting software. Contact Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. at Cassandra.Plaster@wwbic.com or (414) 263-5450.
  • Be a greeter, assist kids with art projects and games and decorate cookies at Kids 2 Kids Christmas event to Friday, November 30. Contact VMP Manor Park at bonnie.zabkowicz@vmp.org or 414-607-4276.
  • Sort and label winter clothing, serve snacks and beverages and help families select clothing Saturday, December 1st at Villard Street Library. Contact Our Daily Bread Community Outreach Center at ourdailybreadmil@att.net or 414-755-0535.
