Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukeefeatures both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.

• Ring up sales, label sold items, price smaller items and answer phones as a cashier at Habitat For Humanity ReStore in Greenfield. Contact nciaccio@milwaukeehabitat.org or (414) 366-0853.
• Provide companionship during hospice visits to fellow U.S. military veterans as part of AseraCare Hospice’s Veterans Visiting Veterans program in Milwaukee and surrounding counties. Contact melanie.burns@aseracare.com or (262) 785-1356.
• Read, play music or a game and share stories and memories with a hospice patient and provide caregiver respite in the West Allis area. Contact Allay Home and Hospice at pczarnik@allayhh.com or (262) 317-5233.
