Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.
Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help.
- Doors Open Milwaukee - Greet visitors at one of 160 throughout metro Milwaukee September 23–24. Sign up here or contact Historic Milwaukee at doorsopenvol@historicmilwaukee.org.
- Ambassadors - Welcome and assist patients and visitors at Aurora West Allis Medical Center; day, evening or weekend hours. Complete an online application.
- Saturday Food Assistance - Greet and help families choose food, stock shelves and clean at Zion Rock food pantry Saturdays; ideal for small groups. Contact Friedens Community Ministries at volunteer@friedenspantry.org.
- Barktoberfest - Assist with set-up, raffle, food/snacks, sell merchandise and tear-down at Barktoberfest Sat., Sept. 16 at Estabrook Park. Sign up here for Park People Of Milwaukee County.
- Joe's Run, Walk & Roll - Sell raffle tickets, register walkers or hand out t-shirts and water water Sat., Sept. 23 at Hart Park. Contact Broadscope Disability Services at nkelly@broadscope.org or 414-755-8028.
- Hemophilia Walk - Register walkers, hand out T-shirts or distribute food at Milwaukee County Zoo Sat., Sept 30. Contact Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation at jkveen@glhf.org or 41-937-6780.
