Monday's Crash
According to a report by WISN 12, extremely bad conditions on the Hoan Bridge over Milwaukee's outer harbor resulted in multiple crashes and one driver careening over the edge.
Monday morning at 8:28 a.m., Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a crash located N/B I-794 on the Hoan Bridge just north of Carferry Drive. The initial crash investigation revealed that the driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck lost control of the pickup truck on the Hoan Bridge.
The pickup truck struck and went over the right retaining wall, landing on its roof on the ground approximately 50 feet below. The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated the driver from the vehicle, who was subsequently pronounced dead.
