Dustin Rhodes and GLCW are 24K

Wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes is coming to Cedarburg as Great Lakes Championship Wrestling presents "24K" Saturday, September 21.

Great Lakes Championship Wrestling returns to action this Saturday night with 24K in Cedarburg and Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes is joining the fun. Like the title indicates, this night will be pure gold.

Of course, the title is a nod to Dustin, whose "Goldust" character became one of the most unique and popular wrestlers due to Dustin's abilities and personality. Already a young veteran of 8+ years, Dustin debuted as Goldust in the WWF in 1995. Quirky, bizarre and definitely original, Goldust succeeded through the Attitude Era and well beyond. While other characters fell by the wayside, Goldust thrived. This is all a credit to Dustin's work ethic. He made that character work and survive.

The second generation wrestler had to follow his Hall of Fame father Dusty. While always a great worker, Dustin really hit his stride when Goldust allowed his personality to shine. Whther heel or face, Goldust was beloved. Even after leaving the WWE and developing other characters, Dustin stayed on the top of his game. Some say his match at All Elite Wrestling was one of his best matches ever.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dustin several times, most recently in Indianapolis in July. He looked in great shape and was awesome with the fans.

While Dustin is the headliner, the rest of the card is stacked, too. Also appearing are GLCW Tag Team Champions, Ryan Kross and Jeff Luxon, Ben McCoy, JCash, and Koda Jacobs, Onyx Andretti, Kal Herro, Russ Jones, Jack O'Neil, Jon Hudson, Jeremiah Bishop, Backwoods Brown, TW3, Johnny Swashbuckle, The Caribbean Connection, Adam Grace with Val Malone, and more.

That's a lot of talented wrestlers, but I am looking forward the most to seeing Kal in action. Although he made his debut earlier this year, I have yet to see him in action. I have seen him grow from a happy youngster to a fine young man and a wrestler with a bright future. I have long admired the father-son relationship of Kal and David Herro and proud to call them my #SuperFriends.

Speaking of David, I always enjoy reconnecting with my wrestling promoter friend. David is truly one of the good guys. A hard-worker, David makes certain that everyone has a fun night. Every fan leaves the building feeling special.

24K starts at 7:30, but the doors open at 6 pm. You'll want to get there early to enjoy every minute of this great night. Dustin, exciting wrestling, #SuperFriends and more add up to a fantastic evening.
