Fast Food Heavy Metal Band Mac Sabbath Drives Through Milwaukee Thursday Night
Chances are good you've never seen anything like Mac Sabbath before. Check them out Thursday night at the Turner Hall Ballroom.

MILWAUKEE, WI — What do you get when you cross legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath with artery-clogging fast-food giant McDonald's? Mac Sabbath — and it's surprisingly good. The band is essentially a Black Sabbath cover band only replacing Black Sabbath lyrics with its own brand of often hilarious death-burger- related lyrics.
Ronald Osbourne, Grimalice, Slayer McCheese and Cat Burglar are all taking the stage at the Turner Hall Ballroom Thursday night headlining the Mockstrosity Tour, which also features the group Metalachi, a heavy metal mariachi band, and another trio from Arizona called Okilly Dokilly, whose brand of heavy metal curiously revolves around the Ned Flanders character from "The Simpsons."
This will be Mac Sabbath's first Milwaukee show, and it is truly something you need to see to believe. If you're a fan of Black Sabbath, heavy metal and/or you just have a fantastic sense of humor, you will love Mac Sabbath.

Musically, the band plays tight, almost identical versions of Black Sabbath songs, however, lyrically is where Mac Sabbath really super-sizes it. Check out these lyrics to "Frying Pan," the band's interpretation of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man."

I have frying pan
Cows we’re going to grind
Hope your stomach is well lined
Do I have the gall?
Chopping onions makes me bawl
Fixing your daily bread
Hope this pan’s not made of lead
A big red curly hair
Gave that customer quite a scare
I once burned your meal
My old job was cooking veal
Now it’s a culinary crime
All our future is pink slime
Everybody wants it
Turn this grease into gold
Excluding the veggies
Trimming the cheese of mold
Butter I must smear
For frying pan to cook steer
Seafood they sometimes crave
Filet o’ Fish we’ll ride this wave
Everybody wants it
On gluten bleached flour bread
Everybody needs it
Till they’re fat and dead
Heavy longing for bed
Fry these cows until you’re fed
Throwing out your raisin bran
Frying pan lives again
Not loving it yet? Mac Sabbath manager Mike Odd says that Mac Sabbath is all about the experience, per onmilwaukee.com:
"It's impossible to understand what's it's truly about without experiencing it," Odd said. "It's a wild, arena-sized stage show and is really hard to explain. Not exactly rock, not exactly comedy. But people are rarely disappointed."
The Mockstrosity Tour takes place at the Turner Hall Ballroom on Thursday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m.
