Free Ice Skating Returns To Milwaukee This Week
Skaters will also have a chance to win prizes, including parks gift cards, as part of the Slice of Nice contest.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Ice skating returns to downtown Milwaukee on Wednesday, Dec. 12, with the season-opening of Slice of Ice at Red Arrow Park. The rink will open at 11 a.m. and to celebrate opening day, free skate rentals and free Pepsi products will be available from 4-6 p.m.
Slice of Ice is free to use for skaters with their own ice skates, and skate rentals are available in the warming house for $7 per pair for ages 17 and under or $9 per pair for adults.
Toddler-sized plastic skating supports, will be available again this year for only a $1 rental fee and $5 refundable deposit or photo ID. ADA Ice sleds for people with limited mobility will be available for free use when requested 24-hours in advance.

New this year, skaters will be encouraged to wear their ugly sweaters on December 21 for Ugly Sweater Day. Skaters who participate will receive a coupon for a free skate rental in January or February. Skaters will also have a chance to win prizes, including parks gift cards, as part of the Slice of Nice contest.
Slice of Ice will open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday through Monday with extended hours over the holidays.
