MILWAUKEE, WI -- A free Thanksgiving meal is being held the week of Thanksgiving for those in need of a little extra love and support over the holiday weekend.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, officials will host their ninth-annual Thanksgiving community meal at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center in Milwaukee. It's free and open to the public. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. or until the food is gobbled up.

"This is the ninth year of this annual tradition that brings together the community for a day of thanks and great food," Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele said.
