Halal Restaurant Week Begins Saturday Across Milwaukee
Several restaurants across the Milwaukee area are taking part in the city's first Halal Restaraunt Week beginning Saturday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee's first-ever Halal Restaurant Week kicks off on Saturday with participating restaurants ranging from the iconic Safehouse to DanDan and much more.
The week will make even more Milwaukee restaurants available for people who follow halal guidelines. The word translates to "permissible" in English, and denotes that something, most often meat, was prepared according to Muslim law.
Halal Restaraunt Week has its first day on Eid ul Adha, and runs until July 17. While some of the involved restaurants will be temporarily modifying menus to accommodate halal guidelines, other involved restaurants intend on permanently incorporating the guidelines, organizers said in an event flyer.
