There is no shortage of fun ways to spend a day with your kids in Milwaukee. If you’re looking for something exciting to do on your next family day, try some of these options:

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum gives your kids a chance to learn and have fun in an interactive, hands-on way. There’s a kid-sized town where children can custom a motorcycle, pretend to open up a new bank account, play construction worker, go grocery shopping, and so much more! Among the numerous exhibits, you will find a science section, a railway exhibit, an art gallery, and an area dedicated to “making.” If your kids are ages 10 and under, this is a perfect way to spend a day playing, exploring, and learning as a family.

Boerner Botanical Gardens

If you are looking for an interesting way to teach your kids about plants, you must check out the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Among the thousands of plants you’ll see, there is a rose garden, a peony garden, an herb garden, and a daylily garden as well as a Garden room. There’s also a “trial garden,” which is full of plants that are grown a trial basis and tested for sustainability.

Milwaukee County Zoo

A trip to the zoo always makes for a great family day. The Milwaukee County Zoo is the perfect size to spend a day exploring and not feel too overwhelmed. If your young ones still have energy at the end of the day, you can let them run around on the playground before you head home. In addition to the animals that you can see all year round, the zoo offers plenty of seasonal activities as well.
