Intoxicated Milwaukee Police Officer Arrested After Crashing Into 25 Feet of Guard Rail

Sheriff's officials say a Milwaukee Police Officer was intoxicated when he crashed his car into a guard rail and wooden posts on Sunday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is reporting that at Sunday morning, at about 1:30a.m., a Milwaukee police officer, Anthony Rivera, age 43, of Milwaukee, was arrested near I-43 southbound at Locust Street for DUI-1st after crashing his vehicle along 25 feet of guard rail and five wooden posts.

Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. ordered a continued an aggressive Driving Under the Influence (DUI) initiative to rid the Milwaukee County freeway system of drunken drivers.

This weekend’s Operation Drive Sober initiative, from Friday at 4:00 p.m. through Sunday at 6:00 a.m., resulted in the arrest of nine drunken drivers. The average PBT result was .13.

Two repeat offenders were arrested for DUI-2nd : Erik Gilmore, age 31, of Milwaukee; and Lena Barribeau, age 27, of Grafton.

First-time offenders taken into custody were Evan Krause, age 24, of New Berlin; Raynard Villines, age 19, of South Milwaukee; and Milwaukee residents: Jimmy Davis, age 52; Erica Scott, age 33; Ivory Morehouse, age 27; and David Kieth, age 24.
