The Kelly Johnson Foundation opens the Johnson Family Scholarship
Wisconsin nonprofit, the Kelly Johnson Foundation, opened up its scholarship application for the 2022-2023 school year.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin: The Kelly Johnson Foundation today announced the opening of the Johnson Family Scholarship for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. The Johnson Family Scholarship is aimed at students who demonstrate leadership skills, scholastic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement, and a desire to complete a post-secondary education.
November is National Scholarship Awareness Month. This month, the Kelly Johnson Foundation hopes to inspire extraordinary students even more while also contributing to their college fund. According to Jessica Dickler, there are over 1.7 million fellowships and private scholarships awarded yearly. Sallie Mae also released a study saying that about 25% of college students receive money for schooling from grants and scholarships.
In 2012, founder of the Kelly Johnson Foundation (KJF), Kelly Johnson, and her brother Neal Johnson created the scholarship fund to help make college more affordable and inspire high school students prior to their first semester. To date, the KJF has awarded 17 recipients with scholarships. This year, they will continue to recognize two more current, qualified and ambitious high school students with a drive for success. The two selected students will each receive $250.00 toward tuition at an accredited four-year college or university.
