Lakefront Festival of Art Returns to Milwaukee Art Museum Grounds

The weekend-long festival features 180 national artists, hands-on activities for families, food and live entertainment.

MILWAUKEE, WI β€” Milwaukee's Lakefront Festival of Art returns to the grounds of the Milwaukee Art Museum for a 57th year this weekend.

The weekend-long festival features 180 national artists, hands-on activities for families, food and live entertainment.

Festival visitors can browse and purchase work by painters, photographers, sculptors,
print makers, jewelers and digital artists. Activities for kids and families in the children’s area include art-making and hands-on projects, theater performances, singing, live music and dancing.

At Lakefront After Dark on Friday, June 21, visitors can party under the glow of the Museum’s wings from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., included with Friday festival admission ticket.

Admission is free for Veterans and active military (w/ID), kids 12 and under thanks to Kohl’s Cares, and Wisconsin K-12 teachers (w/ID). Admission is $19 for adults, $17 for students and $10 for Museum Members. Three-day passes are $25. All tickets include access to the Museum’s galleries.

The Lakefront Festival of Art is organized by Friends of Art, the longest-running support organization of the Milwaukee Art Museum, as a fundraiser for art exhibitions and the acquisition of works for the Museum’s Collection.
