Light Snowstorm Still On Track For WI: Weather Forecast

MILWAUKEE — A light snowstorm is still on track to arrive in the Milwaukee area Saturday night.

"Light snow will cross southern Wisconsin overnight through Sunday," the National Weather Service said.

"Timing of most widespread snow is between 7 and 10 AM, with total snowfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches. Slippery stretches on roads are possible. Quiet weather and sunshine are expected New Years Day."

Saturday: A chance of flurries before 1pm, then a slight chance of drizzle, snow, and freezing drizzle between 1pm and 2pm, then a chance of snow after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: Snow, mainly before 3am. Low around 26. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday: A slight chance of snow before 7am, then a chance of flurries between 7am and 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight.

New Year's Day: Sunny, with a high near 34. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 35. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West northwest wind around 10 mph.
