Police said Nimmer fled until he crashed into an empty house on the 5000 block of N. 41st Street.

According to the criminal complaint, Nimmer ran from the SUV, only to have Milwaukee police officers tackle him to the ground and arrest him.

When police went up to Nimmer's SUV, they reported seeing that the 2-year-old child was held in by a seat belt, and that the 6-month-old was in a car seat that wasn't secured properly. A 28-year-old that was a passenger told police that he urged Nimmer to pull over, according to the criminal complaint.

According to police, Nimmer said he knew he had a $100 warrant out for his arrest. He also told police that he smoked one marijuana blunt and felt "paranoid."

Online Milwaukee County Jail records indicate that Nimmer is being held on a $7,800 cash bond. His initial appearance was scheduled for Friday, Sept. 6.
