Meet Matt Adamczyk, Wisconsin State Assembly Candidate

Matt Adamczyk is the incumbent Wisconsin State Treasurer and will be on the Aug. 14 primary ballot for State Assembly

WISCONSIN — Matt Adamczyk, the incumbent Wisconsin State Treasurer, is seeking a new office in the State Capitol, that of the 14th Assembly District.

Adamczyk says he wants to leverage his budget-conscious practices in the treasurer's office in the State Legislature. We reached out to Matt's campaign to learn more about his candidacy. Here are his answers in his own words:

Conservative

Please describe your relevant political experience:

I was elected in 2014 as the Wisconsin State Treasurer. I have used my time in office to make government more efficient and smaller; I cut my office budget over 75%. Before being elected, I worked for seven years as a staffer for Sen. Leah Vukmir.

Please talk about the top 1 or 2 leading issues in your campaign and how you plan to approach them if elected:

I will continue to work to make government more efficient, thus freeing up funds for necessary spending.

I will work to fight the drug and crime problem spreading in our area Having served as state treasurer, I have formed great relationships with current legislators.

In many ways, I will support the good work done over the last few years by Gov. Walker and Republican legislators.
