Milwaukee Area 2021 Labor Day Weather Forecast

MILWAUKEE COUNTY — Despite a recent uptick in coronavirus cases across the United States, millions of Americans are likely to move ahead with Labor Day celebrations this year, marking the holiday with outdoor barbecues, town festivals and family camping trips.

While celebrating safely is paramount, Mother Nature also holds the power to make or break a perfect outdoor holiday celebration.

Will Mother Nature be on our side this Labor Day weekend? We may be in luck, according to the most recent forecast for the area. While some drizzles are possible through overcast skies Friday, and much of Saturday is projected to be cloudy, Sunday will bring clear, warm weather.

As you head home from work Friday evening, expect overcast skies and a small likelihood of drizzles in the area.

As for Monday, Labor Day: the National Weather Service expects a balmy high of 74 degrees. Partly cloudy but mostly clear skies are to be expected. Monday night will bring a slight temperature drop.

The conditions Monday should be ripe for a host of events scheduled on Labor Day. Franklin's signature St Martins Fair—a flea market with dozens of streetside vendors— or plans for the many Labor Day car shows, concerts and more.

The weather may cause a dreary first couple of days for Summerfest as it kicks off this week, but Sunday and Monday will bring clear concert watching.
