Milwaukee Brewers 2019 Opening Day, Roster
Here's who made the team, and when the Milwaukee Brewers begin their 2019 MLB season against the St. Louis Cardinals.

MILWAUKEE, WI -- MLB Opening Day is Thursday and fans of the Milwaukee Brewers ought to be excited because, if for no other reason, it means spring has really arrived. For the Brewers, reigning National League Most Valuable Player Christian Yelich takes the field with outfielders Ryan Braun and Lorenzo Cain.
On the pitcher's mound, All-Star reliever Josh Hader headlines a pitching staff with starters Jhoulys Chacin, Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta, Zach Davies and Corbin Burnes.
The Brewers also wrested catcher Yasmani Grandal from the free-agent market, signing the former Los Angeles Dodgers starting catcher to a one-year deal worth more than $18 million.

Heading into the 2019 season, oddsmakers are "kinda sorta" optimistic about the Brewers' chances to win the World Series. According to Oddschecker.com, Milwaukee has a 5.3 percent chance to come home with a championship, good for ninth in all of Major League Baseball.
Oddsmakers are most bullish on the revamped New York Yankees, followed by the defending champion Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros. Bookies give the Yankees a 14.3 percent chance to win the title. The Red Sox and Astros each have a 13.3 percent chance to win the World Series.
Confused? Basically, all you need to know is the teams with the higher percentages are more likely to win it all than the teams with the lower percentages. That means a successful $100 bet on the Yankees to win it all would result in a payout of $700. The payout for the Red Sox and Astros would be $750.
Here are the implied World Series odds for every team, according to Oddschecker:
- Yankees, 14.3 percent
- Red Sox, 13.3 percent
- Astros, 13.3 percent
- Dodgers, 11.1 percent
- Phillies, 7.7 percent
- Cubs, 6.7 percent
- Indians, 6.7 percent
- Cardinals, 5.3 percent
- Brewers, 5.3 percent
- Nationals, 5 percent
- Braves, 4.8 percent
- Mets, 4 percent
- Rockies, 3.4 percent
- Athletics, 2.9 percent
- Rays, 2 percent
- Angels, 2 percent
- Twins, 2 percent
- Pirates, 1.5 percent
- Diamondbacks, 1.4 percent
- Padres, 1.4 percent
- Mariners, 1.2 percent
- Blue Jays, 1.2 percent
- White Sox, 1 percent
- Reds, 1 percent
- Giants, 1 percent
- Rangers, 0.5 percent
- Tigers, 0.5 percent
- Royals, 0.4 percent
- Marlins, 0.4 percent
- Orioles, 0.2 percent
The Orioles, Marlins, Royals, Tigers and Rangers represent the bottom feeders this year. In fact, the odds are so low for the Orioles to win it all that you could turn $100 into a new BMW or Cadillac. The Orioles have the worst odds this year with just a 0.2 percent chance. This means that a successful $100 bet on the Orioles would result in the gambler earning a massive payout of just over $40,000.
