Milwaukee Bucks Player Tased, Arrested Friday Morning: Report

Police say they are reviewing a police "use of force case" in which a 22-year-old man was tased and arrested outside a local Walgreens.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police say they are reviewing a police "use of force" case after a man was tased and arrested outside a local Walgreens. Reports say that the man who was tased and arrested was a Milwaukee Bucks basketball player.

According to a WISN 12 report, Milwaukee Bucks first-year player Sterling Brown was booked into the Milwaukee County Jail and later released on Friday morning.

According to Milwaukee police, officers were conducting a business check around 2:00 a.m. Friday at the Walgreens located at S. 26th Street and W. National Avenue when they encountered a vehicle parked across two disability parking spaces.

Police say they spoke with a 22-year-old man, and during the incident a taser was deployed on the man and he was arrested.

Police in Milwaukee say the circumstances of the incident and the use of force are currently being reviewed by the Department.

Brown is a 6-foot-6-inch guard from Southern Methodist University in his first year with the Bucks. He's averaging 3.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He was notably the subject of a prank when teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo filled his SUV with popcorn.
